Veneers

Veneers are facings made from porcelain, which are bonded very strongly to the front of the teeth to mask discolouration. They are transulcent, which gives them a very natural appearance, but makes them unsuitable for very badly discloloured teeth which are better treated with crowns.

The two teeth to the right of the centre line have been vennered. This is a relatively new technique, but we expect veneers to last about as long as crowns (20 years or more)
